$25 for nothing

Cant log in. Says my email address cannot be found. Probably because I bought it through the Apple store and never signed up with an emailed. Paid for an entire year and cant read anything I paid for. Thank goodness iTunes sent me an email saying the auto renew was about to happen. Tried again, still cant get logged in. There is ZERO customer support. I tried to contact them and couldnt get a person - a message said that if I signed up for the digital version I had to solve this digitally. On my own again - guess Ill look for a news source with a good app.

Reluctant 1 Star

I purchased the app through iTunes in Sep 2014. It worked. The end of the year I could not sign in. I was advised by Newsweek that I would have to contact iTunes. Newsweek app would not recognize my user/ID to sign in. Just asked iTunes to process refund. Sorry. Loved the magazine. Hate the app. Hate it. Have to rate it to send the review.

Improvement

I am delighted that leaving the app no longer results in the magazine being "closed". Continuing from where one left off is a must. Previously, reading Newsweek was an inconvenience.

Easily the best magazine app I have on iOS.... Going green is the best thing that ever happened to News Week.

Digital Access is Pathetic

Ive subscribed to Newsweek for over 20 years. The hard copy delivered to my house is still great, however the problems with digital access are so numerous that I cannot believe they are trying to market it.

Newsweek is back!

The return of what was once one of the main sources of news that mattered for millions of people. In depth, thoughtful, balanced reporting instead of sound bites that do not leave the consumer any more educated than they were before they read it. A well informed middle class is indispensable for a world or nation to be nimble enough to adapt and triumph over the adversities and problems that will only increase in this rapidly changing world.

Great app

There are some things other fancier do better but at the end of the day its about the content. Excellent content here. World class journalism. Great app to boot

Good magazine, improved app, but still not completely fixed. About every second or third time I try to access the current issue, I have to delete the app and re-load it. At least it remembers my subscription now. Also have to delete and re-load the app if I havent finished the current issue and tell it "not now" when notified of a new issue. Occasionally I can bring up the Library and select a different issue, but mostly not. When I am ready for the new issue, it appears on the Newstand but clicking on it takes me back to the previous one.

A new subscriber, I have only read a few issues, have had a good experience, would recommend future subscribers.

I have subscribed to many magazines through iPad. I cannot get this one to work. I followed all the instructions under the frequently asked questions and I cannot get it to work.

Love the magazine - hate the app

Ive been a Newsweek subscriber for 20 years & my current subscription expires in 2017. When Newsweek stopped the print edition, my hope was the app &/or customer service would improve. I have been able to download a magazine for weeks. Ive yet to be able to speak to someone or even get an email from someone addressing the problem I am having.

Horrible APP

Why do many businesses continue to release products before they are tested. This APP is one of the most bug worthy applications I have ever downloaded and used. On the second issue I downloaded the APP Crashed. I was unable to do anything to the APP. I could not swipe and move pages. I could not find the, already difficult to find home page.I could not even finish the already downloaded previous weeks articles. “ Nothing” Now I need to fight Apple for my money back. The 1 edition of the magazine I was able to download but only read half! Maybe I will receive half of my $4.99????? This is a great News magazine! Horrible technology.

Newsweek iPad app is totally worthless

You obtain the app, subscribe to Newsweek, they send frequent tantalizing article lists by email, and then do not allow you to sign in to read the articles, i.e., the "sign in" does not respond on the iPad. I have waited for over a month since subscribing, and still no go. I can read the magazine on my laptop, but the iPad app is dead.

Cannot enlarge typeface

Reading Newsweek on my iPad mini the font is too small to read comfortably. This may preclude my subscribing to the magazine.

functional and beautiful

I love the layout and functionality of the app. i think one of my favorite features is the progress bar to let you know how much is left at top. also i appreciate it always remembers my last location so its easy to pick up where i left off
